Hello brothers and sisters of Local 722,

We Can We Will We Must Unite. Spring is here & things are starting to bloom, so please take your medication for your seasonal allergies. Get in front of it, so it doesn’t affect you not being able to come to work which leads to you getting occurrences.

Unfortunately, the Hospital Center is stopping the Surgical Tech program for now because they have enough Techs at this point, however, they are now looking for Pharmacy Techs. The Hospital Center will be starting a Sterile Processing Tech (SPD) Certified Class on premises this summer. We will share the information when it becomes available.

Both the Hospital Center and Children’s have been upgrading their cameras and video systems, Big Brother is watching.

Please pay attention and participate in some of the rallies around the DMV pertaining to the Federal Funding cuts. These cuts that are de-funding Medicaid and Medicare will have implications on funding at both hospital’s bottom line. The loss of federal funds from the government will affect us at the bargaining table as we negotiate wages at both hospitals.

Members of Local 722 Please be reminded that you “CAN NOT” smell like Marijuana or Alcohol at work. It is PROHIBITED to be under the influence while you are working. You are taking a risk of being TERMINATED.
