May 2020 Newsletter
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Recently you received a letter from me telling you of some of the concerns that we had as a result of COVID-19 and the actions that we have taken to alleviate some of the hardships that it is causing many of us to face. Some of you may have received a copy of the letter that was incomplete. The letter was revised to include language from the Childrens’ Hospital’s Contract concerning Layoffs, due to layoffs not being totally done on the basis of Seniority. Therefore, I am having the revised letter included in this edition of the newsletter.
Also, I hope that both Hospitals have heard our request and taken into consideration that there should be no PRN workers, temporary workers, contract workers or probationary workers employed by the Hospitals in any Union represented position that is being furloughed or ATOed. Although it may not be a violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreements, it is surely the right thing to do. I apologize for the errors or misunderstandings.
