Happy New Year, Brothers and Sisters of Local 722!
As we welcome 2026, let us stand united in purpose, pride, and positivity. We Can. We Will. We Must conquer negativity. The year 2025 has come to a close, leaving us with lessons learned, wisdom gained, and new opportunities ahead.
This is our time to move forward—stronger, wiser, and more determined. Growth begins when we reflect honestly, correct our mistakes, and commit to doing better. Truthfulness, integrity, and accountability must guide everything we do. Integrity builds trust, strengthens our union, and leads us toward lasting success.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Annual Christmas Party, a celebration made even more meaningful as Local 722 marked 50 years of advocating for workers’ rights. For five decades, we have fought for fair wages, better hours, safer working conditions, dignity on the job, and strong contracts. That legacy belongs to you.
On December 22, 2025, Local 722 proudly distributed 640 turkeys to members. Acts like this show that solidarity is more than a word—it’s action. We’re excited to announce that our 2026 Turkey Giveaway will take place on Monday, November 23, 2026, from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
As we enter 2026, make this your year to grow. Invest in yourself, upgrade your skills, and pursue new opportunities. No one stands in your way but you.
May God bless us with peace, health, strength, and unity throughout this year. Let us move forward together, because the joy of the Lord is our strength.

Why Your Participation Matters
The year 2026 is a critical election year with midterm elections taking place nationwide. In Washington, D.C., the mayoral seat, several D.C. Council seats, and the U.S. House of Representatives position—currently held by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton—are up for election. Prince George’s County also has key positions open.
Your voice matters. Come participate, stay informed, and help shape the direction of our union and our communities.

Workers, advocates, and allies from across the country came together at Upper Senate Park for Rally for America’s Workforce: PAWA to the People. The rally amplified the voices of working people demanding fairness, dignity, and real protections for America’s workforce.
The energy, unity, and determination on display made it clear: when workers stand together, their voices are powerful and impossible to ignore.
