PRESIDENT’S REPORT

We Can, We Will, We Must Take Advantage of Opportunities to Grow!
Hello, brothers and sisters of Local 722.
We can, we will, and we must take advantage of every opportunity for growth—whether it’s personal growth, growth within your family, growth in your community, growth in the workplace, or growth in society as a whole.
Workplace Growth Opportunities
There are significant opportunities for growth at both facilities, but you must actively seek them out. Check the job boards regularly to find job postings that interest you. Some positions may already align with your qualifications, while others might require additional training or certifications. However, none of these opportunities are out of reach if you’re committed to achieving upward mobility.
Hospital Center:
- The Clinical Advancement Program is available for the following positions: PCT/MA/EMT. The program aims to:
- Recognize and reward professional development
- Enhance employee satisfaction
- Increase associate engagement
- Promote professional growth and development
- Inspire MWHC associates to work at their full potential
- Improve retention
- The first class of the Surgical Technologist Program will graduate in October, and the second class will begin shortly after.
Children’s Hospital:
- The Union continues to advocate for a PCT program and has initiated discussions about training for entry-level administrative positions.
- There is also an ongoing conversation about certifications for those currently in administrative roles. While nothing is guaranteed, these discussions mark a promising start.
Let’s continue to push for growth in all aspects of our lives and seize the opportunities that come our way.
